FIFTY SHADES OF "GREIGE"

If you are a part of fashion/beauty industry, you must have heard the term ‘greige goods’ a lot which means fabric in its raw state. Lately, the term greige broke the internet, I mean just search the hashtag #greige and the results will lead you to hundreds of fashion and interior inspirations .Its all over Pinterest, Instagram and Tumbler.  Assuming that you guys have seen the sneak peak to this post, you must have guessed that it is a hybrid of grey and beige color.

When I see grey, I think intellect, dignified, wisdom or may be conservative while the other hand beige is all about richness, warmth, muted, subdued something very pleasing to the eye. So when I came across this term greige, the first thought that hit me right through was why did I not think of this. Let me tell you guys, this isn’t any ordinary color. It is quiet but has made a solid presence and seems to be a “It color” of fall fashion.

This subdued color has been a longtime staple in the fashion scene, as reported by Harper's Bazaar in 1980's Georgio Armani was “dubbed the king of greige” .
The plus point of greige is that this color flares well with almost all the skin tone. Also when we are talking about this color, have a look at Bobbi Brown's latest greige collection. It works beautifully on indian skin tones.

KEEPING IT UP WITH 90'S FASHION

It's funny how fashion changes over time. We admit childhood was not our most fashion conscious era, with outfits chosen mostly by our moms. Lets just say we were not the coolest kids on the playground, but now some of the same looks can make you one of the chicest women in the room. Probably one of my favorite looks to make a comeback is Co-ords. This style is a major upgrade from the matching sets of yesteryear, top and skirt combos or matching jackets and skirts are guaranteed to make you stand out from the crowd.

I believe it is one of the most effortless trend as you don't have to think which top to pair up with which bottom .

PEPPERTAP : PART DEUX

When we talk Food and convenience and all the buzz lately...... we talk PepperTap .

It is just a start to all the Indie-bhindi feelings we are going to get in a few days. Navratra and Dussehra just passed and in no time Diwali will be filling the air with glorious festivities. The availability of everything online is not only convenient but easy, demand fulfilling and best when it comes to you like a wrapped gift, specially for you. I have already talked about PepperTap earlier and made you guys familiar with how it works. But just in case you missed the earlier post, PepperTap is a mobile grocery app which makes our grocery shopping easier and there is no minimum order value.

Recently they had introduced a Navratri special section from where anyone could have shopped edible products that people prefer to eat during Navratras or fast. The goodness of this app is that they deliver what’s promised like freshly hand-picked veggies and sealed packed food etc. Payment options are also wider now. Payments can be made through Paytm wallet, Peppercash, cash or credit/ debit card.

Chances are, the last time you had a crazy weekend it went something like this : someone popped a bottle, raised a toast for someone getting engaged, you took a sip and sips and shots and what else later which you probably don’t remember and the next day you were found in your bed with a blurry vision of last night and nothing to eat in your fridge (no hangover pills or lemon ).
JUST SAYING ;)

Use the technology and once again Happy PepperTapping !

OZEL - ROUND ll : THE DENIM EDIT

    Take it easy !
It’s time for a new uniform that speaks effortless style ( for those who value comfort above all ). Denims dresses make up a new uniform that works for everyone.

Ozel fashion was Started by Mr. Sonil Jain, with the idea of hunting down all the favourite runway trends and get fashion brands from London to cater Indian market with main focus laid upon quality and design. Along with styling some famous bollywood celebrities, Ozel has successfully set its root firmly in the heart of India (New Delhi).

There are a lot of ingredients in the recipe of Ozel Fashion. They also offer a wide range of fashion jewellery, shoes, sunglasses, bags etc. Not just the Ozel’s designs it is also a platform where other brands collaborate and showcase their collection.
Coming back to the outfit , 'Denim dress' is like a revised edition of a classic novel ( I would prefer  “To kill a Mockingbird “, couldn’t help but mention ). It has always been there since decades with slight changes in style, just the way we saw bell-bottoms in 70’s and waist going higher n higher in 90’s.

Now is the time for overall denim. So grab something with too much denim and make fashion forward game on point.
The rules are changing.
It’s not about the big-fish-small-fish. Just about the smart shopping. Really!

Look more sheen and have glowing skin in this wedding season
Tips for healthy hair

Apart from these there are innumerable fields in which Dr. Pankaj Chaturvedi holds expertise.
Here are some quick tips to protect hair while travelling by Dr. Pankaj which proved quite helpful to me

1.  If you’re travelling to a cold country, always cover your head while you’re out in the cold. Cotton, silk or satin          scarves are best as they protect your head from environmental damage.
2.  Hair becomes dry in winters. Use a humidifier to add some moisture to your hair.
3.  If you wish to bathe with hot water, make sure it’s not overheated, as extremely
hot water can damage your hair.

4. Do not use excess heat on your hair if you need to style it. Hair curlers,
straighteners and blow dryers can damage the hair. One should not use them
      more than once a week.

5. Many a times we eat an improper diet while travelling and our body doesn’t get
enough vitamins. One can take supplements that contain biotin so that the
     vitamins can be replenished.

6. If you’re travelling to a hot country, you must cover your head while going out in
     the sun.

7. Eat a nutritionally balanced diet and include lots of fresh fruits and green leafy
vegetables in your diet. These are rich in antioxidants and vitamins, which are
     essential for hair.

DARK ROMANCE with SUGAR HER

There is a side to us homosapiens, purely magical . We prefer to love drama, all things wild, go beyond the boundaries, wear  tribal junk, flaunt that messy hair,  kohl eyes as dark as midnight, be intense and hell crazy .Well ! often this side is quite private to ourselves but I happened to live it in this piece of clothing from SUGAR HER. Presenting you something that leads you away from all the humdrums of the world.

Lets skip the chit-chat and get down to the nitty-gritties. This season, the androgynous bohemian collided with the sexy rebel for a look that’s taken the runways by storm. The colour garnet needs to be in every one’s closet  and so does this outfit. Trust me, it’s not going anywhere till next fall. I strongly recommend to include it in your bucket-list. As rich as this look is, we all would love to pull it off.
Won’t we ?

There is more to the awesomeness of SUGAR HER  at Jabong, Myntra and Limeroad.
Since I have had the taste of this sugar and the entire collection, (the perks of being a fashion blogger) *wink*,  I would love you to have some sweetness too.

Adding up with OZEL FASHION

Its time to add some color to the dull and humid weather.I tend to veer towards the outfits which have any one design element may it be silhouette, embellishment or colour.Well this one had three of them all together the flare leg cut, the triangle cut-out and a halter tie-up neck.
P.S. the flare-leg cuts are making a comeback, you heard it here first (haha).

Not to be ignored the strong print-play.So OZEL FASHION is one huge shopping destination  where you can find variety of international trends and outfits to die for. You know that space where you look for one piece and end up buying six. Ozel is one of that kind. Not to forget to mention, even our bollywood celebrities were found in some of the OZEL’s top picks. From prĂȘt to couture this brand has a variety and a top-notch taste.

In this post, I layered this jumpsuit from OZEL with a solid red shirt .Layering is probably one of my most favourite thing to do be it summer, or winter.I simply love the idea of colour play, prints vs solids (or print on print ,if needed). Coming to this outfit , the design has a very comfortable yet stylish fit. It can also be styled with wide belt clinched at the waist.

If you want to wear it for night-outs then its better to choose bright colour details in terms of belts and bag. To formalize the look , its better to style with a  tailored jacket or cropped jacket. To add a elegant touch its good to update it with bracelet or a bag with chain handle.

We managed to capture the essence of OZEL FASHION through the lenses of
ABHINAV SAIKIA.
